Halo Infinite How To Change Color

After playing a practiced couple of dozen hours of Halo Infinite, I've found myself comfortable with the game. I oasis't really sunk this much time into a Halo championship sinceHalo 3, andInfinitebrings plenty of new features to the table that keeps information technology from being just more of the same. But for anyone else that has decided to sink hours into a first-person shooter, a natural stride in finding your condolement zone means playing around with the game'southward settings.

Halo Spacehas a healthy number of settings options, and although some that we'd like to see are missing, players tin can pretty much discover anything they want and more. Merely some of the game'due south default settings are just obviously wrong and can end upwards impacting gameplay in frustrating means. While there are assuredly more for other players, I've found that there are iii settings inHalo Infinitethat players must alter from their default, especially if they want to play the game competitively.

Enhance the FOV

FOV slider in Halo Infinite's Settings menu.

A game's field-of-view, or FOV, is substantially how much the player can run into. Think of information technology as pushing the optics back further into the head of whatever character is beingness controlled. More of the surrounding area is going to be visible, although there volition be a slight "fishbowl" effect.

InHalo Infinite, that consequence is negligible, and the game'southward default FOV is far too low. With its normal setting, players tin easily miss other players moving to their sides, making for frustrating situations of "how did I non see him?" Exist sure to pump your FOV upwardly essentially, at least as far every bit you're comfy with. My FOV, for case, is 111, giving me a decent view of my surroundings without a severe fishbowl effect.

Brand enemies stand out

Enemy UI color option in Halo Infinite.

One ofHalo Infinite's biggest — and nigh disregarded — changes is that enemies are now highlighted. The change is welcome, as it makes it easier to differentiate a grayness-armored Spartan from the grey metallic they might exist standing in front of. Even so, the game's default outline is a simple red, which tin sometimes bleed into backgrounds or explosions, making it hard to keep track of enemies.

By heading into the game's accessibility options and down to the visual sub-section, players tin change the color of their enemies' outline with the "Enemy UI Color" setting. My go-to for this is Sunshine, a bright yellowish that pops against nearly every background and effect in the game, and while it may be a bit ugly to look at, enemies are always like shooting fish in a barrel to spot on my screen.

Disable auto crawl

Auto clamber option in Halo Infinite's settings menu.

Clambering isn't a new feature, but it certain is an annoying one. When players jump at whatever ledge inHalo Infinitethat appears to be just in a higher place their heads, their Spartans will grab the ledge and pull themselves upward. However, during this animation players can't exercise annihilation. They can't use equipment, throw grenades, or shoot, they're totally vulnerable. Funnily enough though, players can pretty much jump high enough to state on any ledge they'd normally clamber over, meaning there are actually very few instances where the movement mechanic is useful. The setting to turn off auto clambering can exist found in the motion and aiming department of the controller settings carte du jour.

Afterwards changing these three settingsHalo Infinitewon't radically change, but the regular histrion experience should be ameliorate. Enemies should be easier to spot and players will spend less time caught. For anyone playing the game on PC and experiencing problems with their frame rate, check out our PC settings guide, which will help sort out those problems too.
